[Meme] Kyio's Luceti Q&A: Simon
Kyio's Luceti Q&A
1) Height: It's not stated specifically in canon as far as I know, but Simon is very short in early canon. Like under 5 feet, lol. He does have a massive growth spurt during his teenage years though, and he's been here for a year and a half now, so he's certainly grown. He's at least 5 feet tall now! :D
2) Weight: Um. Scrawny. Under 100 pounds.
3) Eye color/Hair Color: Both are dark blue. His eyes are so big it's hard to see the colour, though.
4) Age: 15
5) Voice: I go by his original Japanese voice, but his English voice is also excellent and I use that as a source for his voice sometimes too |D; so here.
6) Who does the housework in their house/apartment?: ...Simon probably does most of it, if not all. Housework is not exactly Kamina's thing :| When Simon lived alone for a long time, he learned to take care of himself and his own place. Not that Kamina doesn't contribute somehow, but... rofl. Kamina doing laundry, what. So unmanly.
7) Their favorite (and least favorite, if you want) foods and who does the cooking in their house/apartment?: Again, Simon probably does the cooking, but... I seriously doubt they have much in the way of normal meals, rofl. Simon knows a few meals since he got some lessons, but his skills are really lackluster. He doesn't get too picky about foot, but he loves to eat, and he's a fan of meat especially. Sweet meat like ham is the best.
8) What they do during an average day in Luceti: Go to school, hang out with Kamina, practice his sword a bit. MOSTLY DIG.
9) Their general sense of fashion: Pfft. Nonexistent. When it isn't cold outside Simon wears barebones outfits- shorts, wrappings, his Gurrendan jacket. One thing he always, always wears is the Core Drill around his neck.
10) Do they have any hobbies? Did they come up with these hobbies in Luceti, or was it something they always did?: Pretty much just digging, lol. He's a boring kid like that. It's something he's always done.
11) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: He's gotten a little braver with girls? :D;; Actually, he's gotten more used to talking to strangers in general, too. He's come a long way, socially.
12) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: His Core Drill half counts, though he's only started learning to use it, and he's not at the point where he can actually fight with it. Sigmund also gave him a sword, but he doesn't carry it much unless he's practicing.
13) Who are their neighbors?: Other residents of C7, the PMK cast (house 50), and Albert, Caesar, and Raine (house 42).
14) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: (IE. getting used to the place, not wanting to leave, being less/more inclined to do something about their situation, so on) Simon was in Luceti for more than a year at age seven, then was canon-updated to age 14. It's been a year and a half since then. He likes Luceti pretty well, especially since it's a lot safer most of the time and there are no Ganmen fighting. He does miss the rest of the Brigade, as well as Gurren Lagann.
15) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: Home, the school, uh... yeah that about does it lol. Mostly that and his tunnels.
16) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Simon's wings are light blue, because of Kamina. So he always has a little bit of bro with him D| /dork
As for dealing with them, he pretty much just leaves them alone. He's arranged his clothes so that they slip through his jacket to give the Gurrendan logo wings, but in cold weather he keeps them tucked away.
17) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to Luceti?: He's grown a few inches, height-wise, but otherwise not really.
18) What do they miss the most from home?: LAGANN ;A; sob he misses his mecha so hardcore. He also misses Yoko quite a bit, and the companionship of the Gurrendan in general.
19) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Awkward and clumsy. He didn't know how to read and write before coming to Luceti, so he's still developing that skill. His vocabulary isn't exactly stellar, but he manages well enough. He's much better at talking than writing, though, which is why written posts from him are extremely rare.
20) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act over the journal system?: Simon is pretty shy and fumbling in general, but he has an easier time (slightly) talking over the journals because he's not intimidated by being in someone's presence that way. Being such a small person, he's easily startled and pushed around, so via the journals he has a better chance of standing up for himself.
21) Did they gain/lose any personal goals during their stay in Luceti?: Mm... the goals are still kind of intact, but to be honest he's content without them. There was a lot weighing on him back home, what with him having to take over the enemy battleship with Lagann, so leaving home and coming to a relatively peaceful place like Luceti is something of a dream. He just won't tell Kamina that.
22) Is Luceti a technological upgrade, or downgrade for them? Have they adapted to these changes well?: Definitely upgrade, though in a sense it's a downgrade as well- he's not used to the appliances and conveniences the village has now, but on the flipside he had giant robots on his world. :|;;
23) FOR STUDENTS: What is their favorite class? What is their least favorite class? What about their general behavior in school?: In school, Simon is quite and polite, and while he's not the best student (he's probably often inattentive and easily distracted) he puts genuine effort into his work. Learning like this is still very new to him, so it interests him a lot. His favourite class would probably he World Sharing; least favourite is either Math or Science. He's just not the type.
24) Do they have any special talents? If so, what are they?: Uhhh. Digging? rofl. Simon is absurdly good at digging- he can probably dig around the village faster than it would take most people to walk. It makes up for the fact that he's not very good at anything else.
25) Anything else you want to note?: Working on a tl;dr for fanon and like... other memes. Slow going. NOTHING TO SEE HERE MOVE ALONG
