Dunno. Know where we can find a book on Messenger healthcare?
[His tone is tired but a little playful; he's almost certain no such book would exist. The Messengers are in some ways more mysterious than the Astrals themselves. Rarely do they interact with the common populace, nevermind let humans examine them. This is likely one of the longest stretches of time that a Messenger has ever stayed around a mortal, besides... Gentiana? The... dogs...? He blinks a few times, on the fringe of a memory and trying to chase it.
Beneath the bandages, the wounds have healed about twice as fast as they should have. Still there, but long-finished bleeding and starting to scab over.]
[ Though he glances at Noct's face, smiling in the process. Then he goes back to checking out the rest of the wounds, pleased at what he sees. Once he's done, Ignis moves over to Noctis' side, taking one of his hands in his. ]
[Noctis holds on to Ignis and shuffles forward with help, moving to the edge of the bed. It takes some effort, and definitely balancing from Ignis, but he's able to stand and, after a pause to let his body adjust to the weight, takes a few wobbly steps.]
...Might need help for a bit, but... looks like yeah?
[ Ignis gently gets an arm around Noctis' shoulders for support and helps him take a few steps. ]
Did it hurt to move?
[ In any case, he turns his head to plant a kiss on Noctis' cheek before he pulls back a bit. He keeps his grip on Noct's shoulders, always careful about the wounds there. ]
[Noctis winces, feeling guilty for his paranoia now. He's in no state to go walking around town, but sitting here and going hungry isn't an option either. They already ate the leftovers.]
Um... you don't have to...
[There has to be a better option, but he's too new to the city in this era - or, well, at all, since his memories are gone - he's not sure what to suggest. What does come to mind is potentially a solution for this nervousness.]
[That... actually does sound better, now that he knows it's an option. He'd like for them each to have a phone, in case they get separated again, but while he's resting in the hotel it's a good temporary solution. After considering it for a few moment, he nods.]
If you promise to be careful. And call if something happens, I'll crawl there if I have to.
[He's not letting anything happen again. His heart can't take any more, and he doesn't even know if he has a real one.]
[ Ignis plants a small kiss on Noct's cheek before he lets go and moves about the room to find a pen and paper, writing down his number. He slips it into Noctis' hands. ]
I promise I'll be careful.
-------
[ The first thing Ignis does, is snatch his phone from the car, and checks out the trunk. Ah, he did spy out fishing gear so that's one thing down.
He quickly makes his way back to the market place in town, not just to grab them food, but to grab ingredients for Noctis' birthday that he wants to do. He has a real good idea of where to go next, assuming they're in the clear. He hasn't said anything to Noctis yet, but only after they hear from Dave.
He has a bag of ingredients slung on his arm while he's waiting for their food. This is taking a little longer than he thought he would. He'd meant to be quick about this so he sighs heavily, taking his phone out and dialing up Noctis at the hotel. He noted their room number. ]
[Noctis tries to rest, since he knows that he needs it, but mostly he just lies at the edge of the bed near the nightstand, the paper clutched in one hand, eyes closed as he listens. He might've dozed a little bit, but as soon as the phone rings he practically lunges for it, almost knocking the receiver to the floor in the process.]
[ Ignis is sitting at one of the tables, waiting on their food to be made. As the phone rings, he lifts up the bag and quickly checks that to make sure that he has everything he needs.
This caught the attention of a feline and that jumps up on the table with Ignis, meowing at him. He laughs softly, reaching out to pet the cat. ]
Noct? [ He exhales a soft relief himself, relieved to hear Noct's voice, he hadn't wished to be apart for too long. ] This is taking a little longer than I thought it would [ there's a meow heard here ] and it appears I've got company while I'm waiting.
[ Another meow as the cat brushes up against Ignis' hand, almost causing him to drop his phone. ]
Lestallum is quite busy during the day, you and I got lucky with the night crowd. [ He hadn't forgotten being shoulder to shoulder with people and while it's more or less cleared out after Noct's death, it's still quite the busy place to be. ] It shouldn't be too much longer, Noct.
[ Ignis knows that Noct needs his rest, but he was starting to worry about how long this was taking him and hadn't wanted Noctis to worry about him. ]
I'll see you soon, Noct.
[ Once the food is picked up, Ignis starts with making his way back the car, putting the ingredients that he picked up into a cooler. His little cat friend had followed him, he gives it a look of amusement as he starts for the store nearby. He's fine on Ebony, but he decides to pick up a few sodas for Noct himself.
Outside the hotel, he kneels down to give the cat a last pet before he stands up and heads up to the hotel room. Carefully juggling their food and Noct's soda, he opens the door and lets it shut behind him, locking it. ]
Noct? [ Noct sounded tired on the phone so he's wondering if he's awake. ]
[He is in fact super asleep, curled up on his good side. The phone has been pulled off the bedside table and is actually set on the mattress beside him, so the ring would more easily wake him after he drifted off.
He's dead to the world enough that Ignis' arrival and soft call doesn't rouse him yet.]
[ Seeing that he's asleep and safe, not well just yet, gets him to move to the table and start setting up the food. Ignis isn't going to wake Noct up, knowing that he needs his rest.
Once everything is set up at the table, he quietly crawls into bed next to Noctis, carefully wrapping his arms around him, trying not to wake him up. He's more than content to wait on Noct to wake up on his own. ]
[Noctis doesn't so much as stir for any of it, remaining still and sleeping for a little bit afterwards, until the scent of food and the warmth of a body against his pokes at his awareness enough that he shifts a bit, one hand reaching up to tug at Ignis' hand.]
[ Ignis falls into a light sleep, aware of his surroundings, drifting in and out. The touch on his hand gets him to wake up fully and lets out a soft hm in response. ]
I'm here. [ He gently takes Noctis' hand in his. ] How are you feeling?
[He shifts a little so he can lean on Ignis, indulging in that warmth for a bit until they have to get up, which is inevitable. There's a distant scent of food in the air, and he's very cozy; the pain from earlier has dulled after a few hours of extra rest.]

[The perks of losing his memory is that he's somewhat less inclined to lie when he's in pain. His lips quirk upwards a little.]
You're kissing it better, doctor.

If you're flirting with me, then it's working. [ He teases gently as he sits next to Noct. ]

Will you be alright if I ran out to get us some food?

[Before Ignis goes too far, though, Noctis catches his hand, holding him there with a frown.]
But... is it safe? Are there more of them out there? I don't want something to happen while I'm not with you.

Dave's a hunter and he knows about the terrorist group, he wasn't.... thrilled to know that they've been after me. And now you.
I don't know if he recognized you.
I'm hoping that he'll bring us good news in that.
[ He exhales softy, quietly. ]
I'll stay, I don't want to put you through that worry.
