MARTIAL ARTES
Mikleo has been using his staff as a weapon for most of his life; it's the only weapon he knows how to use, and it helps him to channel his artes, though it is not required. He denies it, but he uses the staff because it helps with reach, due to his small stature. Usually infused with the earth element, which water is subservient to.

Sweet Tooth - Why oh why do sweets have to be so delicious? Because they're sweets. Obviously.

Discovery Points
The Crest of Innominat - A crest that bears a distinct resemblance to that of Maotelus of the Five Lords. The dark parts are absent, leaving one with an impression of light and purity. (Artorius' Throne)
A Hoard of Ritual Swords - ritual swords exactly the same make of sword Sorey picked up. It appears that this is where they were all made. (Artorius' Throne)

Enemy Book
Octopus - Sorey: Look! Look, it's got eight legs! And I thought snakes were weird. There really are all kinds of creatures in the world, aren't there. And every ruin seems to have new ones! Man, why isn't EVERYONE and archaeologist?
Chancellor's Pawn - Sorey: They put up less of a fight than I'd expect from soldiers, honestly. You don't think maybe the power of purification has also had an effect on my physical strength? / Mikleo: Well, the Shepherd can wield the power of seraphim. It makes sense that there'd be quantifiable differences between him and regular humans. Don't be too rough with them.
Hound Dog - Mikleo: I'm not scared of dogs, honest. I just think this one looks, you know. Unwell.
Hellionized Rolance Swordsman - Mikleo: They're starting to turn into hellions! Even if they can't directly see us seraphim, they can generally sense us as "enemies"!
Undead Magician - Edna: This is what stupid humans get for trying to dabble in seraphic artes. It's taboo for a reason, cake-brain.
Zombie - Mikleo: It kind of creeps me out how it won't attack unless we get near it or attack it first.
Goblin Shooter - Sorey: Oh cool, it's riding a little cart-thing. That looks fun! Can I ride? Do you think it'd let me take a ride once we purify it?
Mimic Treant - Mikleo: So it's setting traps using chests we've already opened? If we let this stand, someone else will just fall victim! You're sawdust, tree!
King Peacock - Mikleo: Your Majesty, I see thou art especially skilled at dodging my attacks. Were I to charge Your Highness without thinking, Your Excellency is likely to riposte with a most regal counter. Verily.
Aquaphant - Edna: A hellion famous for its waterproof hide. Famous where? In the place where it's famous, of course. But it sure is embarrassing how useless a water seraph is in the water trial shrine. / Mikleo: Hmph. Only if you've forgotten your basics.
Goblin Sniper - Sorey: It claims to be a sniper, but it's kinda lacking in the precision department. Maybe it's having too much fun with that cart thing? / Mikleo: Your analysis seems shallow, but on further inspection it's EXTREMELY shallow.
Wyvern - Sorey: A dragony thing that flies! It's not technically a dragon, so... something closer to that Drake we fought? Gosh, do you think we're stronger now than we were then? / Mikleo: I think you're no less easily distracted than you were then!
Minotauros - Edna: Hellions come in two types. Some people fixate on something they have until it swells and consumes them. Others fixate on something they DON'T have until it finally manifests. Umm... I forgot where I was going with this.
Sylphid - Rose: Oh, OK. I grew up on tales of sylphids, but they're actually creepy green things that hate me. Thanks, hellions! Any more of my childhood you'd like to ruin while you're at it? / Edna: It seems that some hellions' names are derived from the various mythologies of earth-dwellers. Heaven knows why anyone would care so much.
Duobomb - Sorey: Its punch hurts. A punch with two paws hurts twice as much as with one. Hey, you think that's why it's got two tails? / Rose: I'm sure your approach to biology will revolutionize the field.
Aqua Scylla - Mikleo: A half-human hellion that uses water seraphic artes. Unfortunately, my own water artes won't do mch against her. And yet, effective combat requires calling on (gulp) Edna... / Edna: Step back, puddle-boy. Or, since you aren't doing anything anyway, you can serve as my shield. Shiebo. Get up there, Shiebo!
Goblin Lord - Sorey: The wheels, the cart, the gaudy ornamentation... I love it! I love it! Ooh, I hope purification doesn't get rid of all the cool parts... / Mikleo: Sheesh. I thought this was supposed to be a strategy session, not an art show.
Kraken - Mikleo: It's a hellion born from a sea creature called a "squid". These things just float around there? The ocean is a terrifying place indeed. / Rose: And you call yourself a water seraph!
Titan - Lailah: Do you know the song about the hero of legend who faced off against this hellion long ago? It's called The Ballad of Lucen.
Stheno - Dezel: Just so you know, armatizing with me won't prevent petrification. A shame, really--you'd think my looks would freeze HER in her tracks.
Wolf Berserker - Mikleo: A formidable wolf warrior indeed. I'd prefer if we could attack it from a distance...
Goblin Ballista - Sorey: Gosh, no blind spots and a killer cart to ride around on. I wanna be a goblin! Can I be the first Goblin Shepherd?
Vampire - Rose: Ahh, a vampire BAT. Well, the name isn't wrong, but still, I was imagining something more cloak-y and count-y. / Zaveid: Oho, I see. Our Rose is one of those folks keeping the sexy-vampire-poetry genre alive. Those bards will rot your brain, girl!
Tiamat - Sorey: A dragon... We have to--No, I have to do this! / Edna: To kill a dragon... So, you have learned what it is to take someone's life.
Ancient Armor - Mikleo: Ancient Armor? Makes me wonder exactly which era it dates from. / Edna: It was largely seraphim who named the hellions, but remember that seraphim can have wildly varying ideas about what constitutes the "past". I wouldn't get too worked up.

Young Man's Haircut - Mikleo does the trimming.
Hat Style (Young Man) - Lift your bangs and the world changes! ...Or so the youth of today believe.
Sea Venturer Hairstyle - Upon consulting Mikleo about the sea currents, they came up with this hairstyle. Now Sorey is a dreamboat with wind-swept, salty hair!

Hat Style (Water Seraph) - the circlet is Mikleo's treasure, worn since he was an infant.
Ocean Lover's Haircut - Sorey and Mikleo developed this hairstyle when talking about the sea currents. Stylish, yet inquisitive into the ways of the great sea.

Young Water Seraph - Garb worn when exploring ruins with Sorey in Elysia.
Young Water Seraph: Alt Color - a change of color for Mikleo. Less summer-lake, more winter-ice.
Serious Student Uniform - A neat and tidy uniform that seems to adhere to the dress code perfectly... But if you look closely, there's gym clothes underneath. Even nerds can be bad boys sometimes!
Ocean Lover's Swimsuit - This swimsuit will help unlock the mysteries of the sea. Fitting attire for a budding water seraph indeed.

Edna:
Hat Style (Earth Seraph) - is it true? That hairband is a hand-me-down from her older brother?!
Dark Wind Guardian's Haircut - "Black is good," says Dezel. "It means stains don't show."
Dark Wind Guardian's Haircut (Alt Color) -: "But it's not like I hate white or anything," says Dezel.
Wind Hunter's Haircut - a hat inherited from Dezel. Zaveid looks after it, in his own way.
Traveling Girl: Alt Color - Edna calls it "grape-flavored", but surely she's just jealous.

Sweet Girl: Alt Color - a change of color for Edna. Nice and dark, the better to creep Rose out with.
Dark Wind Guardian - Dezel's clothes. There's probably a story behind his unique getup.
Dark Wind Guardian: Alt Color - A different color... Hmph.
Young Dark Wind - Young Dezel's clothes. "It's what I liked back then."
Wind Hunter - Zaveid's regular garb. Shirts are for weenies!

Diary Entries for Asura (from Lefay)

"22nd Year of the Common Calendar
Month of Verdance"

"The seraph of water appeared and urged me to become the Shepherd. He says I have great potential. But I wonder... Is a lowly swordsmith like myself truly worthy of becoming the Shepherd?"

"25th Year of the Common Calendar

"28th Year of the Common Calendar
Month of the Cycle"

"It's no good... Every day, malevolence encroaches further upon the world. I can stop neither disaster nor war. I am the Shepherd, yet still I am weak. I need greater power if I am to vanquish this malevolence once and for all!"

"31st Year of the Common Calendar
Month of the Chalice"

"I have obtained mythril, with which I mean to forge a mighty blade. Then will I at last have the power I need. Power, power, power... It is all I can think of, night and day."

"42nd Year of the Common Calendar
