Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Officially, Kazuto is 172 cm / 5'7. His weight is 59 kg / 130 lbs. He is somewhat thin as characters in canon have commented, but he's been building muscle slowly and steadily through physiotherapy and various exercises in a gym as well as at home. ② How old is he? 17. ③ Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well, or does he slouch? He has an average confidence level, particularly at his current canon point, so he keeps his back straight while he's out and about. ④ How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? As noted above, he's been exercising regularly for the last year. Before then, he spent two years straight in a coma, so he has a few lingering issues from that. Nothing serious; it's mostly a lack of muscle and growth. 14-16 are pretty important years when it comes to physical development, and with no nutrition aside from an IV drip, he was pretty emaciated when he woke up. That said, he is fit enough to handle a long bike ride every two days, so he's got good stamina, if nothing else. ⑤ How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? It varies. In combat, canon has shown him to be swift and graceful, moving seamlessly from one technique to the next. However, he can do that with the assist of the game system he's playing in at the time. Copying movements like that IRL is more difficult, but he can still dodge easily enough when he's focused. There's nothing special about the way he moves outside of combat. He's not clumsy or graceful, just average. He's pretty fast when you get him running, though. ⑥ How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? Kirito doesn't think too much about his physical appearance. He recognizes that some of his features still seem somewhat feminine, and he's been unintentionally attracted to his GGO avatar due to the female-passing looks, but otherwise, he doesn't seem to care. He looks okay, and his girlfriend likes him, so he's fine with it. He will change his appearance upon request; he switched his in-game hairstyle from the default to one that matched his IRL look because Yui requested it, stating that the spikes were uncomfortable to sit on. ⑦ Describe his complexion: dark, light, clear, scarred? IRL, his skin tone is average/light. The Spriggan form has much darker skin, and the GGO avatar's skin is much more pale than his regular look. The avatars are unscarred, since wounds on them are digital only. His IRL body has a very pale scar on his left cheek, and one on his right arm, both due to knife wounds while fighting Sugou a year previous.  ⑧ Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Soft, fluffy, short. It's pretty unremarkable. In the GGO form, it's about as luxurious as hair can be. He kind of hates how fantastic it is. ⑨ What color are his eyes? The books state they're black; anime has them wandering between dark grey and dark brown. So basically, they're very dark. ⑩ Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Nothing comes to mind. ⑪ What are his chief tension centers? His shoulders- because symbolically, he tends to carry a lot of weight on them. ⑫ What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Kirito has a tendency to wear dark, muted colours. Black is quite prominent in his wardrobe, and he used to wear almost nothing but in SAO for two years straight (Though, with it being a game, he didn't have to change or wash his clothes, so there was no real need for other clothing). Even after SAO, his clothes tend to be cool/cold colours like blue, black, or grey. Sometimes his clothes are accented in lighter, contrasting colours, like white or red.  ⑬ Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? IRL, typically he wears loose, easy-to-wear clothing like t-shirts and jeans, with jackets or sweaters over them. He likes clothes that are comfortable and relaxing. In contrast, when he's playing games, his clothes are tight-fitted gear with armored pieces for extra protection. Long coats, heavy combat boots, and slim leather outfits beneath, are what he's usually chosen for his in-game equipment. That means that his avatar forms, Spriggan and GGO, have similar styles. ⑭ Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? See above- "on the job" usually means, for Kirito, in a game. ⑮ You knew it was coming: what kind of underwear does he wear, if any? Prrrrrobably briefs? Like the rest of his clothing, it would be something comfortable. >> top SPEECH ① What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Most of the time, Kirito's voice is low-to-medium and pretty standard for a teenage anime guy. He speaks with a neutral-enough tone that he can pull off a voice that can pass as feminine, but in canon that's due to the avatar itself and not him. ② How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? He's usually quite soft-spoken, and he can be shy, but with people he knows, he speaks up without hesitation. He's not afraid to say what's on his mind, and he only really fumbles when he's embarrassed or upset and unwilling to share something that might make himself or others feel bad. When he yells he's like a shrieking banshee. Kid's got volume when he's mad. Here's a sample of how he sounds with his friends; here is a more neutral tone he uses for strangers. And here's the banshee shrieking for funsies. ③ Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Nothing serious or especially noteworthy. He can use hesitating words like "uh" or "well" a lot while he's thinking through what he wants to say or to add emphasis, but it isn't really unusual. ④ What language(s) does he speak and with how much fluency? He is fluent in Japanese, both written and verbal. He knows a bit of English, but it's only light conversation and some technological jargon. He's looking to improve. ⑤ Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope. ⑥ Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? A bit of both. On the spot he can toss out orders or instructions, but he's not a natural leader-type like Asuna, so tactics aren't his thing. Also, he's not great at acting inspirational, either. He lacks strong charisma and can only provide an honest, whole-hearted opinion of whatever circumstances he's dealing with. ⑦ Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Again, kinda both, leaning on the side of the latter. He's not the mostly socially adept guy ever, being a computer nerd who's almost always online. He used to be worse than he is now, and thanks to the VRMMOs he's played and the friends he's made, he's better at getting the point across without acting like a dick about it, but, you know.
