Character Information
Name: Kiri
Series: Critical Role
Appearance: a mighty big bird!
Age: 4 (closer to 7 or 8 in maturity due to species)
Canon Point: Post-episode 25
Canon History: Wikia. It's a little barebones, since she wasn't in the show very long and is only 4.
Personality:
As a Kenku, Kiri has been cursed her entire life in three specific ways:
1) she is bereft of wings yet has an unquenchable longing to fly,
2) the spark of creativity has been torn from her soul, and
3) she has no voice except through mimicry.
Despite all of that, you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at her. Kiri is a cheerful child for the most part, well-mannered and obedient, but certainly possessing a mind of her own. She is an excellent listener, quiet and attentive; people around her might find it easy to forget she's even there. she also has a playful streak, using her perfect mimicry skills to share secrets they might not want to be shared so openly. Kiri is quick to trust, too young to be suspicious of those around her, and shares information freely when asked. She is cautious in new or potentially dangerous situations, and can be easily startled, but if left to her own devices she has had her moments of bravery (or just reckless disobedience- she is a child after all).
Even though she's so young, Kiri recognizes the laws of nature- survival of the fittest, in particular. When she became trapped in the muck of a swamp and her family was unable to pull her free, they abandoned her to save themselves, but she bore them no ill will. She recognized that it was better for her parents to leave her behind than risk losing the rest of their children along with her. She also understands that the chances of her finding them again are slim, instead choosing to go with the Mighty Nein, the adventurers who saved her.
Without her creative ability, Kiri is more limited than most when it comes to things that require ingenuity- the ability to create things, or come up with new ideas, or invent stories. However, she makes up for those shortcomings through her ability to support those around her, offering small comfort or good comedic timing. She is very much a follower, not a leader, but she is content with this, showing no distress about her lack of agency. When the Nein decide to leave her with a family of gnomes rather than continue to let her travel with them, she is torn about it, since she'd come to adopt them as her new family as much as they her, but she recognizes that their lives are too dangerous for her to stay with them and bends easily enough to their wishes. She is, as Jester says, "a good girl".
Playful and soft-hearted, Kiri is like many children in that she likes animals and people who are kind to her, and will resist and rebel against people who she can tell dislike her or are rude to her. She's quite perceptive to the moods of other people; she was able to recognize that Mollymauk was not especially fond of her, and the two formed an unspoken understanding between one another: don't get attached. On the other hand, she could tell which of the others in her group enjoyed her company, and to which degree- she knew who to turn to based on her needs at any given time.
Abilities:
Kiri is just a small bean of a child, she has no especially noteworthy abilities. She has minimal combat ability (she knows to use the pointy end of a knife, for example) and while her race has the capability to LEARN standard D&D magic, she has never shown any abilities in that department due to lack of training.
Her only skills worth naming are her ability to perfectly mimic sounds, words, and voices, as well as a built-in memorization that allows her to perfectly recall and repeat learned phrases and the person she learned it from (as she changes her voice to sound like them as well).
Inventory:
-A small knife: non-magical, no noteworthy features
-A music box: non-magical, mechanical, plays 1 song

As an extra note: I know child characters can be a bit of a pain, particularly in games geared more towards survival, so I discussed with the CR cast ahead of time to make sure it was OK to app her. She's also surprisingly self-sufficient for her age, so she shouldn't require as much babysitting as a normal 4 year old.
If there are any questions or concerns please let me know!
