[Character Information] Permissions Post: Billy Kaplan / Wiccan

This permissions post is mostly relevant to Superheroes, particularly of Earth, but other, popular and modern-ish geek-culture characters also apply.

EDIT: first, as a role reversal note- if you play a geek-fandom character who would be familiar with Young Avengers or Billy himself, he's been made aware of the fact that he's in comic books in at least one other universe, so fourth-walling on him is okay. However I'd prefer if his future wasn't revealed.

Billy/Wiccan is a fanboy. Probably to the nth degree. He knows a lot about the superheroes of Marvel-616 Earth, their archenemies, whatever could be considered "public information" in regards to heroes, and some unpublicized stuff, too. Additionally, it's been ICly recognized that he's into more geeky stuff, like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Lord of the Rings, so it's safe to assume he knows a fair bit. It's never indicated that he's into manga and whatnot, so I'm gonna assume he knows the bare minimum, like popular series and video game stuff. There's a lot of potential for what he could know, though, so feel free to give it a try anyway if you want, and I'll look into it and confirm yea or nay. He's like a human encyclopedia of useless information. And as a super hero he has access to the Avengers database, so there's a lot of important info he could potentially be aware of.

Unfortunately, I am not an encyclopedia, just a simple player who lacks his years of obsession. I'm going to try to educate myself via the Marvel Wikia and other Wikias for the popular stuff, as well as reading all the comics I have time for, but it isn't always clear about what can potentially be known by others and what is private. That's where you come in!

If you have a character that Billy might know or know about, fill me in on a few things! I'll keep it in mind during threads. He'll almost certainly keep quiet about things that might upset people (such as telling them they die in the future if a player would rather they not find out, because that could suck), but he can still quietly fanboy about them and say awkward things that make no sense from time to time. Hurray for brainbreaking?

Chronologically I've taken Billy from the year 2011, so he could potentially know anything up to spring of that year. For the Marvel timeline, he's from the Civil War, so comic-relevant stuff up to that point would be known.

So for Superheroes, fill this in, please:

And for other geeky character types, fill this in please:

Thank you so much for your help, guys!

Character Name: Rogue
Character Canon: She's from X-Men: Evolution
What kind of information is public knowledge?: Well, they'd know her powers based on the movie - know her relationships and general issues, possibly. Know the name "Marie." But I'm not sure if any of this would be out there since... she's in his world. I don't know? However you want to play it.
What kind of information is known in the superhero community?: DEPENDING on when it is in the Marvel Timeline, he might know that she goes by Anna Marie in his world... but even in Legacy, I think that's kept pretty private. He'd know the Miss Marvel thing. I'm fairly sure he'd know the Mystique and Kurt connections - very sure about the Kurt connection, honestly. (And depending on if he is post-Messiah Complex he'd know Kurt was dead and mutants next to extinct. The Avengers showed up
help out with Yet Another Attempt at eliminating mutantkind. He'd also possibly know that she'd gained control of her powers, lost Miss Marvel's powers, and made up with Carol as best as can be done. He'd have probably heard about the times she was Team Leader, and potentially some other stuff, idk, trust your judgement.)
What shouldn't be known? The one thing I don't want her knowing is if anyone knows her real name. The other thing I don't want her knowing as much is the fact that she gains control of her powers. It would bring her too much relief. >>

Character Name: Remy LeBeau/Gambit
Character Canon: X-Men Evolution
What kind of information is public knowledge?: Probably not too much would be openly known... except for possibly his reputation as a top-notch thief.
What kind of information is known in the superhero community?: Since he's an X-Man in comic canon, probably a good amount. More origins (though still not much he's a secretive jerk), his mutant powers, fighting style, that sort of stuff.
What shouldn't be known? Just about anything to do with the Thieves Guild and an awful lot about his past. Gambit doesn't open up with those details often.

Character Name: Susan Storm Richards, The Invisible Woman
Character Canon: She's from Marvel 616, from the Civil War storyline. Her teams? The Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and The Lady Liberators
What kind of information is public knowledge?: Susan is a member of the Fantastic Four. She can turn invisible and generate forcefields. The FF Identities are public, so...most anything is fair game.
What kind of information is known in the superhero community?: Susan is Anti-Registration, has ruptured the shell of a Celestial, and BRIEFLY had an evil identity known as Malice. Also that her children, Valeria and Franklin are among the most powerful mutants on the planet.
What shouldn't be known? Susan switched powers with Johnny for a time, and that she had an odd romantic entanglement with Namor.

Character Name: Rei Hino/Sailor Mars
Character Canon: Sailor Moon (Manga)
How popular is it? Sailor Moon is an iconic Shojo/Shounen manga
What year is it from? 1992
Anything I should know about the canon/character? It was created by Naoto Takeuchi. Rei is from the anime, but her personality is very different in the manga. She's quiet and reserved and dislikes men in the manga, and is basically the opposite in the anime. Michie Tomizawa is her Voice Actress in the anime.

Character Name: Luke Skywalker
Character Canon: Star Wars
How popular is it? Extremely so? Star Wars....
What year is it from? 1977 to present?
Anything I should know about the canon/character?

Luke is from the end of the novel Darksaber. If you need more details, talk to me? Thats a lot of canon to cover.

Character Name: Mizuno Ami | Sailor Mercury
Character Canon: PGSM (live-action) Sailor Moon

How popular is it? Sailor Moon is incredibly popular ever since its creation, and has strongly influenced the entire genre. It has many, many versions from the manga, to the anime, to the live-action, to the stage musicals, to a new anime coming in the summer of 2013.

It should be noted the live-action series, which this Ami comes from, is much less known and was not released outside Japan. Unless a strong fan, Billy's more likely to know the anime/manga instead.

What year is it from? This version is from 2003-2004 and set in that time.

Anything I should know about the canon/character?

Pretty basic knowledge about Ami is that she's incredibly smart, the brains of the group, and always wanted to be a doctor. Also, she's quite shy and polite. As Sailor Mercury, her main powers are over water.

Less basic: She has insecurities based around making and keeping friendships, and secretly wishes people saw more about her than just the genius/schoolgirl. She is from a wealthy background, but her parents are divorced; she lived with her mother, a doctor.

Obviously secret: She is Sailor Mercury. If Billy would know the canon, I don't mind him knowing this, but she will be a bit wary of someone who already knows this large secret when she doesn't know much about them.

Character Name: Daria Morgendorffer
Character Canon: Daria
How popular is it? strong cult following, but not as well known as some.
What year is it from? 1997-2002

Anything I should know about the canon/character? Daria is a bit of a social outcast, and while she'd like that to change, she's not willing to compromise herself for it. Her parents are an overworked mother and ineffective father, and her sister buys into the hype of looks and popularity. They don't always get along, as a massive understatement.

Character Name: Charles Xavier...he doesn't go by Professor X and based on the movies he seems to perfer being called Charles.
Character Canon: Movieverse, specifically X-Men: First Class
What kind of information is public knowledge?: His birth name. The name of his father, stepfather and mother. He has a "sister" named Raven. He's wealthy. He's an expert in genetic mutation. He has a few PhDs under his belt. He graduated from Oxford. Of course it's not limited to that, apparently there are people out there who know more about Charles than he knows about himself, but he would say that it doesn't apply to him. Feel free to make the connections anyway just to confuse him.
What kind of information is known in the superhero community?: Charles comes from a point in his life where Billy probably wouldn't recognize him and perhaps most of the cast would have a difficult time recognizing him unless they were from an earlier era. So Basically whatever information Billy knows about Charles within his own canon. He's not going to get the references obviously.
What shouldn't be known? All his secrets are in his hair...no...really. Well Charles hasn't formed much of a super hero identity yet, but he does work for the CIA as part of Division X so that really ought not to be common knowledge.
